I'm amazed everyday at how quickly we humans develop from babies into children and then adults. Lately when I ask Adam a question, i.e. "What do you want to play?" he replies with "Ummmmm, blocks!" The answer to every question always starts with an 'ummm' which to me means he is finally starting to understand how to make a decision.
His other new thing is if he is asking for something and says "Adam want phone" I will repeat what he says just to verify what it is and instead of saying 'yes' he says 'Oh', but with a Fonzie (from Happy Days) tone to it. It's really funny! Everytime he does it I laugh out loud at him!
I have no idea where he gets some things from. Yesterday he started singing "happy birthday..... to adam" the WHOLE song!

Financial Blessings Needed
They aren't just needed, they're required!
I have been struggling so much to find students for my birthing class that it's depressing. People call and are really interested, we have great conversations and then they never sign up. I haven't taught anyone since the end of July!
Suddenly things are popping up where I can market myself to the right people. I've talked to Babies R Us in Taylor because the first Saturday each month they host a "Baby Fest" expo with a different topic each month. I'm waiting to get a call back about when it is and if I can be a part of the one about pregnancy and birth.
Then yesterday I was glancing through the new American Baby Magazine and came across an ad for the "American Baby Faire" March 3-4 at Rock Financial Showplace. I called to get more information on the cost of a booth and a 10'x10' booth would cost me $950!!! I really want to do this, 13,000 people pass through this event!! What exposure!
I posted a note on my SE MI bradley instructors chat group asking if anyone would want to join in on the table or donate some money for me to promote them even if they're not there. It's not looking too good, out of the 19 listed instructors only about 12 of them are still teaching. And the ones who do teach make very little money at it.
Please pray that some miracle will happen in the next week that will allow me to attend this show!
Lord bring provisions now!

let it snow!
I love it when it snows in winter! Sometimes I think I'm the only person well, besides my parents, that actually enjoys the snow. It covers up all the icky brown grass with pretty clean white. And when the sun shines through the sparkly flakes as they fall to the ground it is so beautiful.
OK, I'm starting to sound like I'm on some sort of medication.
I really just wanted to dress my kid up in a snowsuit to see what he would do in the snow. As usual, he wouldn't move an inch. Chalk another one up on the list of things Adam hates to touch, dirt, sand and snow, check.
I don't care what anyone thinks, bring on more snow!!!!!!

Happy Nudie Year
Happy New Year!
We had a great New Year's Eve last night.
It all started by taking Adam to see his first big screen film, the movie Happy Feet at the Imax (thanks to Aunt Michele). Totally awesome movie and Adam wasn't as freaked out as I expected him to be. He did bury his head in dad a couple of times but once the movie was over he couldn't stop dancing. Then we dropped him off at gima and papa's house to spend the night (we hope they had fun getting him to sleep).
We then headed off to church for the remainder of the evening. This was the first time we spent a New Years Eve without our friends and/or families and it was great. I actually think it was the best NYE we've ever had. Most people wouldn't believe what our church does to celebrate God and his love for us. Oh, and I was so excited to get Grande's new CD and totally recommend it to anyone, FABULOUS!
The Surowiec's are looking forward to a prosperous 2007, afterall it's our lucky number (27). Brian was born 6/27, I was born 2/27 and we were married 10/27 (adam messed it all up with 2/24).
We wish everyone else a happy and prosperous 2007 with many memories to take with you for the rest of your life.
