I'll say it... I'm now 30!

And really, I don't see why people freak out about turning 30, it's not like you're turning 130. I'm ok with it, I'm healthy, happy and having a good time living my life. I see a lot ahead of me, 30 is not the end of an era it's the beginning of a new phase of life.

Look at how cute I used to be.....

Have you ever wondered what famous people have the same birthday as you? Here are a few of the peeps that I share February 27th with:

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow born in 1807

Elizabeth Taylor born in 1932

Chelsea Clinton born in 1980

We all have our dorky moments, I'm not afraid to show mine:

Give me a break, I'm only 14 in this pic, I didn't know any better.

Captain Underpants

Adam and I visited our friends Paige and Abby the other day and the fact that Abby is a month younger and already completely potty trained inspired us to attempt this long awaited task.
Adam was impressed that his peer was going to the potty by herself so I think it will help him to get started. We went to Chuck E Cheese's with her today to celebrate her poop party (it sounds more disgusting that it really is). Adam had never been to Chuck's so he was REALLY excited to play there and eat pizza, I referred to it as Las Vegas for kids because both places are equally obnoxious.
Anyways, we got a lot of great tips and ideas from Paige are are attempting to figure out a pee cycle for Adam. That basically consists of a lot of accidents on the floors. There are M&M's involved and everything. We tell him if he pees on the potty he gets 1 M&M, so what's he do? He sits on the potty grunts with all his might, has nothing come out and then asks for an M&M. I say 'no, you didn't actually pee' and then here comes the tantrum followed by lots of pee everywhere! What a joke, this is a true test of my patience.

For the most part little boys clothes are boring in comparison to the super cute little girl clothes out there. But, hands down, little boy underpants are the cutest things around! Adam picked these out himself. In case you can't read what's on his behind, it says 'Lightning McQueen'.

Now if I could only get him to cherish this undies so much that he doesn't want to pee in them....

American Baby Faire.... here I come!

If any of you moms out there want to see me I'll be in the Bradley Method booth at the American Baby Faire March 3-4 at the Rock Financial Showplace.

Yeah!
I found three other teachers who agreed to join my in the booth so that the cost became more reasonable.

Thank you GOD for all your blessings these last few weeks, I am so grateful.
I'm also very grateful that I have a home and heat right now, I may not be the richest person but I feel very blessed and rich in many other ways thanks to my wonderful GOD.

Give it all to Him

As a new believer in God anytime I understand the Lord more it is a HUGE deal to me. (I don't think Brian seems as excited as I am about these things so I'm sharing with cyberfriends)
In the past week or 2 I've realized that I am so happy I'm not God. Because when I'm feeling angry, frustrated, scared, lonely, moody, (I think you get the point) I can just give it all to Him and I immediatley feel so much better!

I clean my grandma's church every Friday and last week I had just mopped all the floors including the salt covered entry way when someone decided to walk all over in their wet snow covered boots. People never come in when I'm cleaning so I really understood this to be a test of me. Not only did this lady get water and salt everywhere but she so gracefully walked on some poinsetta leaves and made red stains all over the floors too. In this situtation I would have loved to complain to anyone that would listen. But, instead I prayed while I wiped it all up and gave God all my anger. It was so awesome! I immediately felt a sense of relief and said to myself 'whatever, no biggie'.

The beginning of this week was awful. I wanted to do this American Baby Faire for my Bradley Classes but not many of the area teachers wanted to help out with a booth. I had one other teacher interested and we couldn't afford to split the cost just the 2 of us. So, I prayed all week, and I asked the Lord to tell me if this is meant to be or not. I felt relieved because now it's His problem to deal with. Today I woke up wide awake at 6:00 (I rarely get out of bed before 8), God was nudging me out of bed by 6:30. I went downstairs to check my email because I felt there was something to see. WHAM!!! 2 more teachers are ready to join the faire with us!!! And they are just as excited as I am. Praise God!! Thanks for getting me up this morning!
Now I'm praying for the $237.50 to show up so I can do the faire! You led me here Lord now show me the way.
