Did You Know?

Did you know that Dearborn's population consists of 20% Arab Americans. Most people think that number is 80%.
I'd just like to say we have an Arab town similar to how some cities have China or Mexican town, it's not the whole city just a certain portion of it.

Where I got my fun fact from www.welcomehomedearborn.com

I had no idea - I totally thought it was mostly Arabic...

I think it's because people talk so much about this being the largest Arab American population in the US that they think it means Dearborn is 80% Arabic. It is really concetrated to East Dearborn.

wow. i am shocked. we were at ellis island a few years back and were blown away by the big star on dearborn of the largest population of arab americans. considering that every arab american that i had ever talked to at wayne state was from dearborn, i'd just assumed it was the majority as well.

I seriously have zero Arabic neighbors. I'm in West Dearborn and the Arabic town is considered to be mainly East Dearborn (east of the Southfield freeway)
